Here's how to make a list:
- This site is a diary for exploring things I use to love, exploring cheap and retro hobbies that I can enjoy when AI unexpectantly makes things too expensive to enjoy; ie modern gaming. The fun part of all of this is that it
reminds me of trying to do webpages back when I was a teenager, but sadly I forgot pretty much all of the html I learned in the past.
- One such thing I've decided to pursue again; Retro gaming. I grew up during the renaissance of American PC gaming culture and was fortunate to have friends and family
that had various systems where I was able to enjoy a vast array of classic games from various systems. From pc's and Amiga's to various consoles that Sega, Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft produced.
- I also grew up during a time when Anime was only available on VHS and they were basically blind purchases. You basically just purchased a video based solely on the box art. This actually led to a few super embarrssing
purchases, which shall be un-named.
- This leads me to another thing I would love to do. With the creation of emualtors, I now have access to many games and systems that I have never had access to before this primarily will be a focus on Japanese retro gaming
systems such as the PC-98 and 99, as well as the PC-Engine. I have always loved learning languages and in order to lower the amount of doomscrolling I do on a daily basis, I have decided to take up on learning to read Japanese in order to enjoy Japan only games, that were enjoyed by millions while I similarly enjoyed DOS and Windows games during the American gaming revolution.
- Pixel art and animation, Traditional Art, Game Development, Programming, Akai MPC +1, Joshi Wrestling, Learning to read Japanese, Retro gaming US and JP titles.
